We're starting a new year, and with it come new resolutions, new goals, and, of course, new trends.

It's time to review our wardrobe to decide what we'll wear this year, what to keep, and what to leave behind.

Keeping up with the latest fashion trends makes us feel good about ourselves and, consequently, about our surroundings. So, let's dive into the top trends for this 2021, full of expectations.

What fabrics to wear this season?

Knitwear: It's a timeless fabric, usually associated with winter, but we can adapt it to any time of year.

Lately, we've started to witness a real "comeback" of cardigans. They have become the stars of our daily looks. It's very trendy to combine them with embroidered crop tops and shorts.

As we said, it's a timeless fabric since 2021 brings us finer knit garments; knit cardigans are shortened and become cropped, and now many styles replace knit shorts with midi skirts to create the perfect total look.

Leather effect: When we talk about leather, we no longer only refer to the black biker jacket. Leather has extended to other garments, colors, and cuts.

Mini-dresses, shorts, oversized coats, anything is possible.

Style Trends:

Masculine style: It's very easy to recreate with basic items we all have in our closet. Choose a basic shirt, an oversized blazer, and dress pants. You can balance your masculine look with more feminine makeup and shoes, or, on the contrary, reaffirm your masculine side with flat Oxford shoes or sneakers.

What should we leave behind and what should we bring back from our closet?

• Forget organza shirts, welcome rustic shirts!

Opt for romantic, rustic, or retro-style blouses. Choose those with a Victorian collar, ruffles, Peter Pan collar, etc.

• Forget neon colors, welcome neutral colors!

Nude colors, earth tones, browns, and yellows. Especially trendy are those ranging from vanilla to light yellow.

• Forget skinny pants, welcome bell-bottoms, cropped, and flare pants!

2021 is the year you should try different types of jeans. Bell-bottoms will be the silhouette we're looking for, 70s style.

The pants of our suits are super versatile; you'll give a special touch to your look. For gray days, fun pants!

• Welcome miniskirts!

The miniskirt is one of the garments we should have as a feminine wardrobe essential. It's omnipresent on the spring-summer collection runways with floral prints, and we also see it every winter combined with tights or socks. This year 2021 will be no different in this regard.

And speaking of tights and socks…

• Forget bare legs, welcome colored tights!

White tights, sheer tights, tights with logos, designs, stitches, embroidered… An accessory that can completely change your look.

A miniskirt with socks or tights and college-style shoes will be a hit this season.

• Welcome to the oversized era!

From maxi coats to shirts, oversized fashion is a must this season.

And regarding accessories:

Maxi scarves with colorful prints, 90s style crescent-shaped bags of standard size, neither too big nor too small, "college" shoes with super trendy "Street style" track soles, link chain necklaces, golden link chokers over t-shirts and sweaters, etc.
